Messer Street

In the west end of Providence, room and board for the Messer gents
Trying to make some sense of my strange life

Living in the community, celebrating unity
It's like a fraternity, in some strange land

Parties on Friday nights are the same as Tuesday nights
Nothing seems quite right when we're not home

Never seem to have the time to sit down and clear my mind
That's all right I'm feeling fine on Messer Street

Getting rocked by the beat
 Living on Messer Street

We get more guests than Motel Six and don't forget the Messer chicks
We're cooler than the high school clics in my home town

No one seems to have a car, but we're not going far
Staying home and playing cards 'til two a.m.

Getting rocked by the beat
 Living on Messer Street

So late at night when you're all alone give us a call on the telephone
There's always something going on at Messer Street

Providence have no fear, we're working for City Year
So come relax and have a beer at Messer Street

Getting rocked by the beat
 Living on Messer Street
